These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Doorplace USA website and your purchase of products and services from us. By visiting our site, requesting a quote, or placing an order, you agree to these terms.
1. Website Use
- You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes.
- Content, photos, logos, and designs on this site are the property of Doorplace USA and may not be copied or reused without permission.
- Information on this site (pricing, options, production times) may change at any time without notice.
2. Quotes, Orders & Custom Work
Most of what we build is custom. That means we rely on the information you provide.
- You are responsible for providing accurate photos, measurements, and project details for quotes and orders.
- Before paying a deposit or invoice, please review the quote to confirm sizes, quantities, styles, and options are correct.
- Colors and grain patterns can vary from sample photos due to natural wood variation, lighting, and screen differences.
3. Pricing & Payment
- All pricing is in U.S. dollars and may change without notice until an order is confirmed.
- We typically require payment or a deposit before production begins. Remaining balances (if any) are due before delivery, shipment, or installation.
- Payments are processed through secure third-party providers (such as Shopify Payments, Stripe, or financing partners).
- If you choose financing, your agreement with the financing provider will govern those terms.
4. Production & Lead Times
Because nearly everything we build is made to order from raw materials, production times are estimated, not guaranteed.
- Typical lead times for porch swings and many doors are discussed at the quote stage (for example, approximately 14–18 business days), but may vary based on workload and material availability.
- Finishing, stain dry times, and weather conditions can sometimes extend the schedule.
- We are not responsible for contractor or installer rescheduling fees if a project is delayed.
5. Shipping, Delivery & Inspection
- Porch swings and large items are often shipped via freight on a pallet or crate and are typically delivered curbside.
- Smaller items or hardware may ship via standard ground carriers (UPS, FedEx, etc.).
- It is your responsibility to open and inspect your order upon arrival and report any shipping damage within 2 business days so we can help with a claim.
- Do not dispose of the shipping crate or pallet until you are satisfied with the product and any issues have been resolved.
6. Installation
Doors and swings must be installed correctly to perform as intended.
- Doorplace USA is not responsible for installer labor costs, travel, or other contractor charges.
- If you or your installer modify, cut, re-drill, or improperly mount the product, any resulting issues may not be covered under warranty.
- For swings, all mounting points must be into solid framing, beams, or a properly built stand using appropriately rated hardware.
7. Cancellations, Changes & Returns
- Most orders begin moving into production quickly. Requested changes after materials have been purchased or work has begun may result in additional charges.
- Because our products are custom built, orders are generally non-refundable once production has started, except as required by law or at our discretion.
- If there is a confirmed manufacturing issue covered under our warranty, we will work with you to repair or replace the affected item according to our Warranty & Care policy.
8. Warranty Summary
A more detailed explanation of our product coverage is provided on the Warranty & Care page. In general, Doorplace USA offers a 1-Year Limited Warranty on eligible finished products against defects in materials and workmanship, subject to proper installation and care.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Doorplace USA is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (including lost time, lost profits, or contractor fees) arising out of the use or inability to use our products or website. Our total liability for any claim related to a product is limited to the amount you paid for that product.
10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. Any disputes related to Doorplace USA products or services may be handled in the appropriate courts located in Texas.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we do, we will update the date at the bottom of this page. Your continued use of our website or services after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
