Privacy Policy
At Doorplace USA, we respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
By using our website, contacting us, or placing an order, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
We collect information in a few different ways:
- Contact & Order Details: name, phone number, email address, billing and shipping address, and basic project information when you request a quote or place an order.
- Payment-Related Information: payments are processed through secure third-party providers (such as Shopify Payments, Stripe, or financing partners). We do not store full credit card numbers on our own servers.
- Photos & Measurements: images and measurements you send us so we can provide quotes, design, build, or install your project.
- Website & Device Data: standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and cookies to help us improve the website and keep it secure.
- Communication History: text messages, emails, and form submissions so we can respond and keep records of your project.
How We Use Your Information
- To provide quotes, process orders, and schedule deliveries or installations.
- To communicate with you about your project, questions, or service requests.
- To process payments and, if you choose, connect you with financing options.
- To operate, maintain, and improve our website and services.
- To help prevent fraud and protect the security of our business and customers.
- To send occasional updates or promotions about Doorplace USA, if you’ve given us permission. You can opt out at any time.
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, trade, share, transfer, or disclose your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes. We may share information only as needed with:
- Service Providers: such as Shopify, payment processors, financing providers, shipping carriers, email or text messaging platforms, and IT or security vendors who help us run our business.
- Installers or Contractors: when needed to complete your swing or door installation in your area.
- Legal & Compliance: when required by law, to respond to a legal request, or to protect our rights, property, or customers.
Exception for SMS opt-in data: Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent (your SMS/text-message consent status) are excluded from all of the general categories above and are shared only with the limited service providers described in the "SMS and Mobile Information — Special Protection" section below — never with installers, contractors, referral partners, affiliates, or other third parties for their own marketing or promotional use.
SMS and Mobile Information — Special Protection
If you opt in to receive text messages from Doorplace USA (for example, through the SMS consent checkbox on our quote request form), we collect your mobile phone number and consent status solely to send you messages about your quote, project, order, scheduling, delivery, installation, or other customer-service communications. Doorplace USA is the sender/brand of these messages.
Your mobile information will not be sold, rented, traded, shared, or disclosed to third parties for their own promotional or marketing purposes.
- Excluded from general sharing: All categories described elsewhere in this Privacy Policy exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent. SMS opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties for their own advertising, promotional, or marketing purposes.
- Campaign-specific use only: We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing the services of that campaign.
- Limited service-provider sharing: We may share personal information, including your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in status, or consent record, only with service providers that help Doorplace USA operate and deliver its messaging services. These providers may include messaging platform providers, telecommunications carriers, phone companies, messaging aggregators, and vendors that assist with routing, transmitting, securing, or delivering text messages. These service providers may use the information only to perform messaging services on our behalf and may not use it for their own advertising, promotional, or marketing purposes.
- Not shared with installers or partners: SMS opt-in data and consent will not be transferred to installers, contractors, referral partners, affiliates, or other businesses for their independent marketing or promotional use.
- A phone number alone is not consent: Providing a phone number does not automatically constitute consent to receive promotional or automated text messages. SMS consent must be provided separately through a clear affirmative action, such as checking the SMS consent box on our quote form.
- Message frequency: Message frequency varies based on your project and communications with our team.
- Message and data rates: Message and data rates may apply, based on your mobile carrier plan.
- Consent is not a condition of purchase: You do not have to agree to receive text messages to request a quote, place an order, or use our services.
- Opt out: Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving text messages.
- Help: Reply HELP for assistance, or call/text us at 1-844-377-5872.
