About SlideDrive™
Unlike large commercial automatic sliding systems, SlideDrive™ uses a compact powered drive configuration designed specifically for sliding barn doors.
The standard SlideDrive™ uses a powered drive wheel and supports sliding barn doors up to approximately 50" wide and 4" thick, opening left or right. Wider doors are quoted as custom configurations.
Many customers searching for a motorized sliding barn door are looking for ways to modernize existing sliding doors while preserving the overall appearance of the space.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does SlideDrive™ replace the top rail?
No. The system is designed to work with many existing barn door rail systems already installed.
How big a door can SlideDrive™ move?
The standard unit supports doors up to approximately 50" wide and 4" thick. For a wider door, request a quote first.
Can the door open automatically when someone approaches?
As an option. SlideDrive™ can be configured with an external motion/photo sensor that triggers the door to open when someone approaches. When paired with the controller's timed-close function, the door can open automatically, remain open for a programmed period, then close automatically. This is not part of the standard $695 unit. Request a quote for this configuration.
Does the system require ceiling mounting?
No. The system operates near the lower guide area instead of using bulky overhead operators.
How much does SlideDrive™ cost?
The standard SlideDrive™ starts at $695, with free shipping to the lower 48 states. Custom configurations are quoted separately.
